

The editor has been working in the field of MD simulation of composites since the last 9 years and, before that, in the field of “finite element modeling” of composites using NISA and MATLAB.

Though there are some books on MD such as “Introduction to Practice of Molecular Simulation” by Akira Satoh and “Molecular Modelling for Beginners” by Alan Hinchliffe, none of these books specify the steps used in MD simulation tools such as BIOVIA Materials Studio, Large-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator (LAMMPS), and GROningen MAchine for Chemical Simulation (GROMACS). This book will provide the readers with an overview of the three most commonly used tools for MD simulation. There was an urgent need for such a book because there is currently no book available that caters to the need of students and researchers working in the field of molecular dynamics (MD) simulation.
