The R220LC-9A Amphibious comes standard with a newly designed, color, 7 inch touch screen LCD display with easy to read digital gauges for monitoring temperature, fuel levels and other maintenance items. An optional feature is a Smart Key System, which allows the operator to start the ignition with the push of a button. To achieve optimum precision, Hyundai designed this model’s hydraulic system to provide the operator with super fine touch and controllability. Hyundai’s 22 ton (44,000 lb) class R220LC-9A Amphibious excavator boasts a 20’8” (6,300 mm) arm and a maximum dig depth of 34’11” (10,630 mm). Each pontoon comes with 3 strands of heavy duty track chains, constructed with high yield strength tensile steel. The R220LC-9A Amphibious model is equipped with track shoes/cleats that are robotically welded for the utmost precision. Optional spuds can be attached to supplementary pontoons to help overcome buoyant force and offer added stability and enhanced operation. Optional supplementary pontoons can be added on each side of the machine to boost stability in deeper water to a maximum of 14.1 feet (4.3 meters). Multiple active motors are provided to propel each pontoon for sufficient power making it virtually undeterred in any terrain.
